| The REO with Protection OS provides the user with the flexibility to configure the
REO into any combination of standalone virtual tape drives, disk LUNs or Virtual Tape Library.
The VTL has the ability to dynamically size individual virtual tape cartridges to match the exact
capacity requirements of the backup jobs. This eliminates the need to predict and manually provision storage,
further increasing storage efficiency. This eliminates capacity wastage incurred by pre-allocation of storage.
By storing tape images that are tailored to the size of the backup job,
the REO allows users to access a significantly larger percentage of the available storage capacity. |
